Widows Pension

Widow's Pension is a benefit paid to widows. It was replaced by Bereavement Allowance for new claimants on or after 9 April 2001, but widows who were in receipt of Widow's Pension before that date continue to receive this benefit.
For more information, see the Citizens Advice website information on Benefits and bereavement. Please look at the information relating to the country of the UK you live in by selecting it from the drop-down menu on the page.
